Fox Marketing supercharges the Lexus CT 200h [w/video]

Fox Marketing has given Lexus' entry-level hybrid some much-needed teeth, adding an Eaton supercharger to the 2011 CT 200h. The huffer forces air through a Climax Racing intake manifold, helping the CT's 1.8-liter four pot crank out 300 high-voltage ponies.
Fox also says it beefed up the car's batteries, but details on what exactly the company did are nil. The added power means the CT 200h has to work a little harder to stay pointed in the right direction, which Fox addressed with a full-on custom suspension and enormous Baer brakes. The 13-inch Baers sit behind a set of 20-inch wheels sporting a huge offset and healthy 225/30-series meats up front and 255/30s at the back.
You'd think that a 300-horsepower hybrid would make an excellent sleeper, but that's just not Fox Marketing's style. Instead, it cloaked the little Lexus in metallic burnt orange paint, and draped it in a wide body kit, featuring huge three-inch fender flares. Inside, there's a set of Yonaka racing seats complemented with LED Lexus logos on the door panels. Check out a video clip of the car after the jump.

MINI Countryman KISS Edition
The New York Auto Show was treated to quite a surprise when rock music legends KISS made a surprise appearance to officially introduce four MINI Countryman vehicles, each wearing one of the band member’s world-famous face paints.
Each of the cars were dressed up with their own unique paint finishes bearing the face paint of each of the four members of the rock band. While the cars aren’t going to be sold to the public, all four special edition Countrymans will be auctioned off during a special Father’s Day eBay charity auction to raise money for UNICEF and its attempts to assist the children of Japan. The auction is scheduled for May 29th, 2011, which, incidentally, is Father’s Day.
The tie-up between MINI and KISS is a joined effort in providing assistance to the people of Japan who were struck with a devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami last month. "Our hearts go out to the people of Japan in this time of great tragedy. We wanted to help and also to provide a real way for the KISS Army to get involved," said Gene Simmons, the frontman of KISS.
"UNICEF raises money to help children who are still coping with the effects of these disasters, and also supports other very important emergency relief efforts around the world. Join the KISS Army in giving."
While the cars are set up to be auctioned off on Father’s Day, fans of the both MINI and KISS who won’t be able to buy the cars will get a chance to dress up their MINIs with KISS-inspired wraps, which MINI USA introduced on April 21, 2011. Just like the special edition cars themselves, all proceeds from the sales of these wraps will be given to UNICEF.

Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II join Cars 2 cast in animated form
When Prince William extended his hand and proposed to Kate Middleton, he probably wasn’t thinking too much about the insane merchandising opportunities that would follow such an act. It seems everyone is getting in on the royal wedding action, from Project Kahn and their Maybach 57 Wedding Commemorative down to Disney and their new vehicles in Cars 2.
In honor of Prince William and his royal family, Disney has added a few new vehicles to their lineup. Meet Prince Wheeliam, a late-model Bentley Continental, and The Queen, a vintage car sporting a classy tiara. The Queen’s vintage look was chosen by looking through archives to find the vehicles the real-life Queen actually rode in around her Coronation.
Character Art Director, Jay Shuster, said: "Specifically with The Queen’s design it took some careful stepping as we, of course, were on hallowed ground emulating a nation’s sovereign as a car. The Queen’s design in our film is inspired by the elegant lines and paint schemes of British car designs of the finest vintage."
"We spent much energy on these designs de-emphasising details such as driving lamps and grilles so that the absolute read of the characters eyes and mouth can convey with maximum clarity: allowing the car to act. Official crests and shields adorn her much in the same way they did her cars in reality. I have to say we spent weeks on perfecting the tiara she wears in our film. Our special effects then made sure each diamond had a translucency and depth to refract the light just so."

Anytime we have an excuse to get a scantily-clad babe on our pages, we make sure that everybody gets to share in our blessings. Even more awesome is when you pair said hottie to a little drift action, courtesy, in this case, of Mr. Gymkhana himself, Ken Block.
In this video, a model from Zoo Magazine gets a chance to pose with Ken Block and his Gymkhana 3 Ford Fiesta. After the introductions were done, the hot model rides shotgun alongside Block for a little drift action on an improvised Gymkhana course at the Battersea Power Station on the River Thames in Battersea, London.
It’s a pity that we don’t get a clear view of the model’s reaction as Block takes her for the ride of her life. But judging by her reaction when the course run was finished and the dust had settled, it sure looks like she had a blast.
High-level drifting and smoking hot babe aside, the video was actually part of a promotional event for the DIRT 3 video game, which incidentally coincides with the debut of the Gymkhana in the video game.
We don’t know if there are going to be hot models in bikinis in the game, but for the sake of everything we hold sacred, we’d love to see it.
