1932 Talbot 14/65 Boat Tail Tourer - Click above for high-res image gallery
Here's a rare slice of history. If you've got the means, you just might be able to pick up one very unique 1932 Talbot. The 14/65 Boat Tail Tourer is going up for auction at Brooklands on December 4. Built almost 80 years ago, the car was given its unique all-mahogany body work in 1969. The three inch by .25-inch planks were originally sourced from Honduras and make up the entire shell of the car, including the doors, hood and tail section. As you might have guessed, the bodywork was completely done by hand.
If you're looking for the perfect blend of the nautical and automotive worlds, look no further. Brooklands expects this particular Talbot to go for a relatively reasonable £20,000-30,000. The auction house is quick to point out that if you were to build the car today, that's roughly the cost of the woodwork alone. How's that for a bargain? Hit the jump for the full press release.
