Ferrari P4/5 Competizione

In effort to focus our attention to supercars and vehicles that are out of this world, we wanted to find something that was really bonkers. Naturally, the home of crazy things is usually Japan, but there cars seem to be getting duller by the second. So, we turned to that other crazy, wine loving country; Italy.

After searching high and low, we have found our vehicle, the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione. This is a machine that does not yet exist, but that won’t stop us from trying our best to find all the information we can about this gorgeous looking road rocket.

The only images we currently have of the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione are renderings, but those are good enough for now, as this supercar certainly looks good in that form. We’ve never heard anybody say that Ferrari can’t create something that looks like speed in motion.

UPDATE 01/15/2011: The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione commissioned by James Glickenhaus was finally put to the wringer as it made its first foray to the race track recently. Months of building and development finally led to this day where the one-off, track-purpose race car finally had its day under the sun. The supercar was driven by British Touring Car Championship driver Fabrizio Giovanardi. After the test run, Giovanardi was all too ecstatic with the P4/5 Competizione. ?The test was fantastic," he said. "The car is so easy to drive and all the controls light and very direct." Check out the new photos in the gallery!

UPDATE 01/19/2011: Our man, Marchettino, is at it again, and this time he’s caught the P4/5 Competizione hot on the Franciacorta racetrack during one of its track tests. Just the sound of the beautiful music escaping through the exhaust is enough to make us giggle like little girls! Enjoy the tasty treat for the eyes and ears after the jump!
