Mercedes E-Class Coupe by Prior Design

With an elegant and refined base such as the Mercedes E-Class Coupe creating a masterful interpretation of the vehicle is as easy as selling an original Van Gogh painting. Sadly, the Cabrio has been receiving most of the attention this year, with tuning firms such as Piecha and Carlsson running towards the drop top version of the luxury vehicle. Prior Design, however, have provided a brand new tuning kit for the 2010 Mercedes E-Class Coupe that will add an impressive body kit and some engine updates ready to increase the car’s power by up to 75hp.

The front of the Merc has been given a new bumper with side vents and a spoiler blade. On the sides of the car, Prior Design added a set of side sills before heading to the back for a rear bumper extension with three fins, a spoiler lip for the boot, and a roof edge spoiler, all available in carbon fiber as an option. The look is completed by a new set of 20" wheels offered in matte black, gloss black, and silver. After adding all of these components, Prior Design went ahead and dropped the ride by about 35mm and then sprinkled the interior with a range of carbon fiber trimmings. Rounding off the tuning kit is a choice of either a tail pipe on the left or a complete sports 4-pipe exhaust system in stainless steel. This option, plus some ECU modifications, can raise the output by up to 75hp, depending on the version of the car.

The full kit adds up to about EUR 5,116, or about $6,684 using the current rates, but each piece can be purchased individually.

Press release after the jump.
