Randy De Puniet has undergone surgery for removal of the screw implanted in his left knee after the accident which involved have passed on the Sachsenring circuit, where he broke the tibia and fibula.

The operation took place without any problem and now the pilot Pramac Racing will be given some time off before beginning preparations for the third MotoGP race scheduled in three weeks in Estoril.

“I’m fine,” said De Puniet, “though, now that the anesthesia has lost its effect, I feel a bit ‘of pain. It closes a chapter and now the screw is gone, I hope to see the advantages on the track. these days I will try to recover more than my physical condition in view of the Grand Prix of Portugal. ”

French is the third rider in MotoGP to choose to end up under the knife before the race at Estoril to care for their physical problems: like him, Dani Pedrosa and Cal Crutchlow.
